Today I turn a year older. Hello 24!!
But as they say you are only as old as you feel. Yes, age is a state of the mind. But to be quite honest it scares the hell out of me! Well, maybe it is because I always thought by the time 24 is here I would be a shoe size 6 or 7 or maybe I would be a five feet seven (5’7). However, the truth is I am still a size two and a half and for those times I am lucky enough I fit into a size three, well as for height lets just say I am still struggling at four feet nine (4’9) but I have faith I will make it to five feet soon (who am I kidding?). Clearly, there hasn’t be much in terms of physical growth over the years but that’s okay.
We are pretty excited today coz well; Hello website! This has been a dream of ours for quite sometime now and we are finally living it, thanks to the almighty God. We finally have our own domain name! We have now moved from www.chicandlegal.wordpress.com to here. You can now go ahead and subscribe to the new site on the home page and continue journeying with us
It has definitely been a while since I posted but hey, am doing good. I hope you are too. Sometimes its okay to take some time off and rejuvenate. And as I did that, I got in touch with my African roots. 😉 I got this African dungaree months ago but never got the best photos to put up and share. But today, voila! I am super-excited to share with you the outfit and my favorite hairstyle! Yes, my afro! Many people ask what I do to get my hair to puff; I actually washed my hair with the Olive Conditioner. I also use a mixture of coconut oil, castor oil and Olive oil,(Very affordable) though honestly I had not oiled it at all for this shoot. You can try it; gives your hair a natural sheen. I will soon do a hair post once my hair recovers from the hairline loss.
I hope this Monday morning is treating you well. I still cant believe the weekend is over.
My weekend was pretty awesome, Margie and I did a shoot for the blog and we are quite stoked to share the photos with you so keeping reading, good stuff coming up soon
I think I am the happiest girl in town since July began. I am, so happy the last 6 months are over. Thank God! So much has happened and I am very grateful that life has brought me to this very moment. I couldn’t be happier. The first half of this year has taught me quite a lot but most importantly it has taught me how important self love is. How important it is to stay true to who you are. well, not vanity but self love. Loving and accepting the unique creature that you are. So go ahead and love you, let no one tell you otherwise. Embrace yourself completely!
